VINH HIEP COMPANY LIMITED CONTINUES TO ASSOCIATE IN SUSTAINABLE COFFEE PRODUCTION AND IMPROVE COFFEE VALUE WITH FARMERS OF GIA LAI PROVINCE AND THE WESTERN HIGHLANDS PROVINCES

Vinh Hiep Company Limited was officially established in 1999, the company's main activities are trading, manufacturing, processing, and exporting agricultural products. The company's primary agricultural exports include pepper, instant coffee, roasted coffee, and coffee beans. Every year, the Company's green coffee is exported to demanding markets such as; EU, US, Japan, Korea, and more than 50 other countries around the world

Understanding the exacting standards for quality set by reliable export markets; Vietnam's agriculture sector's guidelines and rules for sustainable production links; and the company's fervor and desire to introduce premium coffee beans to the global population while guaranteeing food safety... Vinh Hiep Corporation has constructed and expanded raw material regions for sustainable coffee production by Organic, 4C, and UTZ standards (now Rainforest Alliance).

The concept of connecting sustainable coffee production has shown great efficiency and beneficial impacts at first, and its scope is continuously growing to include coffee growers in the province of Gia Lai as well as nearby regions.

In the period from 2010 to 2020, the Company has linked production with nearly thousands of farmers on an area of 5,000 hectares to build coffee raw material areas meeting 4C, UTZ standards... in the districts of Chu Se, Dak Doa, Chu Prong, Ia Grai, Gia Lai province. Production connection models adhere closely to the 4C and UTZ organizations' economic, environmental, and social standards as well as the technical process of cultivating and tending to coffee.

Vinh Hiep Company thinks that Vietnam's coffee production industry will become more sustainable and stable through collaboration and association with coffee farming households; implementation of programs to conserve natural resources; biodiversity in the garden; social security programs; and care for future generations. From there, progressively raise the quality and value of coffee plants in specific as well as the general revenue of local coffee growers. The company's sustainable production linkage model is constantly expanding and developing in both the scale and quality of links in the coffee value chain.

The demand for certified coffee export markets is increasing and especially meets the requirements of the EVFTA Trade Agreement between Vietnam and the EU in the coming time. inh Hiep Company has been expanding its sustainable coffee production links in Gia Lai, Dak Lak, and Dak Nong provinces.

The activities of the association program are still being implemented shortly, to fulfill Vinh Hiep Company's goal of spreading the values of this sustainable coffee model, contributing to improving the livelihoods of coffee growers, sustainable development of Vietnam's coffee industry in general, and the Central Highlands provinces in particular.
